The Winter Holiday

     The first week of this winter holiday I stood at home doing a very interesting thing: helping my mum with the Christmas arrangements. I cleaned my room and helped her with the cake. The next week I relaxed, in spite of the arrival of the New Year, we didn't make any preparations because we went to Austria and spent four wonderful days at the Penz West Hotel. We did some skiing and snowboarding and we visited the old city centre. I spent the third week at home watching some new films and doing some Maths.
      I liked my winter holiday!

     Nowadays a great number of people use mobile phones. Some cannot imagine living without them, while others belive that we should avoid using them.
     Having a mobile phone has many advantages. Firstly, you carry it everywhere so communication is easy, even in emergency situations. What is more, you can use your mobile to take or exchange pictures, listen to music, play games, surf the Internet, download ringtones and so on.
     On the other hand, there are also many disadvantages. To begin with, mobiles can be harmful to our health when used a lot. In addition, children, teenagers and even adults can be addicted to them. For example, lessons are interrupted at school or car accidents are caused.
     To sum up, mobile phones have both advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I belive it is a very useful gadget. However, people should use it wisely.

     Teenage crimes is an unfortunate fact of life. The question is, though, is community service for young offenders a good idea?
     To begin with, there are many benefits of community service. Community service makes sure young offenders are punished and benefits others at the same time. It takes away their freedom and it makes them think about their role in society. For example, cleaning up public areas or looking after people in the community force young offenders to put other people's needs before their own.
     On the other hand, community service has its disadvantages. If dangerous criminals are allowed to live in society, people might be at risk. Furthermore, young offenders who only receive community service may not think that it's a serious punishment, and they won't be put off commiting other crimes in the future.
     In conclusion, I think community service should only be used for criminals who are not dangerous and take it seriously as a punishment. Consequently, each case must be judged individually to make sure that the punishment given is suitable for each criminal.

Halloween School Story

                                                          Halloween School Story



      It was  the  Halloween day and because it was Wednesday I went to school. At school I saw   some kids dressed in witches, ghosts and zombies.
     After I finished classes I went to afterschool to stay there till  my parents finish work. After I did my HW, the director came and invited us to the Halloween show that was held where the little kids eat their lunch.
   The show began with two kids sitting on the stairs of an old house in the woods  talking about different   things   when    one of  them got up and said that he wants to go to school. The other kid told him that a storm is coming and they have to go to their homes. Also he mentioned that when it's storm outside all the spirits gather in the forest and not to touch them. The storm began and there were a lot of spirits. The kid wasn't afraid so he got near them and touched them. Suddenly his teeth turned black and all his skin was covered with spiders. He tried to find a way out but he met  a witch. Now he leaves with the witch and when it is dark   and  stormy  outside they scary people that go in the forest. The other kid said that he might come out and scare you.
      The show was over. The courtain fell and there was a moment of silence. All of a sudden I felt something cold touching my hand. There was Clara,my friend. She wanted me to help her with her HW.
